Abstract

In February 2020, the deflation of the Two Cities Combined (Mataram City and the City of Bima) was 0.05 percent, or there was a decrease in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 103.72 in January 2020 to 103.67 in February 2020. The deflation rate this is below the national inflation rate of 0.28 percent.

For the West Nusa Tenggara region, the City of Mataram experienced a deflation of 0.05 percent and the City of Bima experienced a deflation of 0.08 percent.

The Combination of the Two Cities Combined in February 2020 amounted to 0.05 percent due to a decline in prices as indicated by a decrease in the index in the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Group by 0.02 percent; Transportation group of 0.59 percent; and the Information, Communication and Financial Services Group by 0.20 percent. While the index increase occurred in the Clothing and Footwear Group by 0.04 percent; Housing, Water, Electricity, and Household Fuel Group by 0.00 percent; Household Equipment, Equipment and Routine Maintenance group by 0.08 percent; Health Group of 0.07 percent; The Recreation, Sports and Culture Group by 0.03 percent; Education Group by 0,00 percent; The Food and Beverage / Restaurant Supply Group by 0.10 percent and the Personal Care and Other Services Group by 0.27 percent.

The combined rate of inflation in the two cities in the February 2020 calendar year is 0.50 percent higher than the inflation in the February 2019 calendar year of 0.17 percent. While the "year-to-year" inflation rate of February 2020 was 1.80 percent lower than the "year-to-year" inflation rate in February 2019 of 2.42 percent.
